Testing
Suburban Chicago, April 1964. Dad must have gotten a new camera; the 1964 album has a few "selfies" from the spring season.

Biting my Lip
Bulger Park, Veterans Park District, Melrose Park, Illinois, Autumn 1965. I appear nervous about this recitation.
Check out the jukebox.

Christmas Manners: Dance with Santa
Suburban Chicago, December 1964. The children from our Lithuanian school join in another round of "Jurgelis Meistrelis." I'm the girl with the eyeglasses; my friend Kris wears a plaid skirt and faces the camera.

It would be nice to have a little snow.
Suburban Chicago, December 1964. I never was good at shaping snowballs.
Borganza coats were popular in the 1960s. Borganza "fur" slightly resembled sheared beaver: fashion's answer to Naugahyde.

The Life Box (Part 26)
Suburban Chicago, 1964. I create a Dad-inspired scrapbook page.
(I still use Dad's tripod. It was handy when I was photographing the crane family.)

A Special Outing, in Three Takes
* * * * *
* * * * *
Lake Nipissing, Ontario, Canada, July 1964. Our host at Samoset Lodge took us Gar fishing. We often caught many species of fish during the two summers we vacationed at Lake Nipissing. Catching a Gar, however, was a rarity. My Dad, who worked as a dental histologist, found these fish especially fascinating. This expedition thrilled Dad.

A Poor Listener
Suburban Chicago, February 1964. I'm not paying attention to the poetry recitation; I'm watching Dad.
