"Of all the European languages the Lithuanian has the largest number of diminutives expressing tenderness, endearment and affection."

That's why my Mom still calls me "Irutytė" (Irene = Irena ® Irutė (diminutive of "Irena") ® Irutytė (diminutive of "Irutė").
