Italy's Little Tyrol
Near Cortina d'Ampezzo, September 1985. If you didn't hear the Italian language spoken here, you'd think you were in Austria.

Dolomiti
Near Cortina d'Ampezzo, September 1985. It's hard to distinguish an Italian alpine town from a Swiss one.

Mushroom-Picking Reunion
Near Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, September 1985. We're back from mushroom picking in the Dolomites, and we are ready to cook these puppies! All they need are olive oil, butter, garlic, oodles of flat-leaf parsley, and a splash of brandy.

Dusk in the Dolomites
Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, September 1985. The shops stay open late, and there are many elegant, alpine-inspired items to buy.
