I didn't think the Reich took in DPs.

As I say, I learn so much here.

The DPs from the Baltics fled during the summer of 1944. There were refugee camps in many countries, especially along the borders. Search under the "1944" label here.

Timothy Snyder's "Bloodlands" is a good place to start.
