This is a lovely photo. It really captures that sense of calm and quiet of a midwest landscape blanketed with snow. Perhaps I had seen it before I came to Minnesota for college, but a blue-tinged snowscape is a scene I associate with the midwest.
We were admiring the moon last night as we drove home from a family gathering. Will be posting my own Christmas Evening photo on flickr.

I love living in the Midwest. Wisconsin and Minnesota are especially beautiful.
The blue color last night was rich. If you look at the snow--especially around the tree near the bird feeder--you will see deer tracks.
