Suburban Chicago, December 1959. Mom holds me at the dining room table. My Parents initially decorated the entertaining areas of the house in then-chic, gray colors. Even Mom's skirt is gray.
By the time I was a toddler, Mom and Dad had redecorated the dining room and the living room.
The bookcases standing against the back wall are still in use.
