We clear the walkways.

Suburban Chicago, December 1961. Mom and Dad take turns shoveling the walkways while my Toronto Cousin pulls my sled.

I earlier posted some still photos from that day here.

Dare I ask who was doing the filming?

When Mom tossed that shovelful of snow at the camera, she seemed to be saying, "A skirt this length was not meant for the snow!".

They likely took turns filming. Back then, Mom always wore skirts.

Most women did - it looked better and was more feminine, although, for shoveling snow, pants were more practical.
