It's too early to think about snow.

Hats went out after Jack Kennedy, but a lot of older men still wore them.

I recall that interpretation. My Dad was not older; he was younger than Kennedy--42 in this photo. I think he bristled against American fads.

It was the times, not the age so much.

Your dad was probably more inclined toward the traditional.
