The Older Set

Schweinfurt, Germany, about 1946. My Parents were in their early twenties when they became Displaced Persons. The older generation—my maternal Grandfather, Jake, and my paternal Grandmother, Tatjana—were in their late forties when they fled Lithuania.

 

Here's Tatjana resting with the widows and matrons at the DP camp. To Tatjana's right sits the mother of my Godfather's wife. She was in the picture for many years.
