Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, July 1966. The park's hot springs are dangerous.

The Morning Glory and Emerald Pools in Yellowstone were at once beautiful and terrifying to me when I was a child. I was very, very careful walking around that boardwalk but was still afraid I would fall in.
I had a similar experience in Mammoth Cave when we walked across a rope bridge during a tour. I would never cut it as a spelunker.
I guess I'm just not a very adventurous soul at heart!
