Suburban Chicago, about 1963. My Mom washes dishes after dinner. My paternal Grandmother, Tatjana, usually did the daily cooking, and Mom ate separately, after she returned from work. Mom was responsible for the after-dinner cleanup.
This must have been one of my Dad's favorite photos of my Mom because he carried it in his wallet.
