Visitors from Toronto!

My Dad's twin sister, Jonė, and her family drove down from Toronto to visit us shortly after I was born. Usually, they made the trip during the Christmas season. A summer visit was unusual because we often visited them in Canada as part of our vacation trips.

I always loved seeing my cousin, and I still enjoy a summer visit from her.

Suburban Chicago, August 1958. The new North Americans enjoy their cars at a Cook County Forest Preserve. My paternal Grandmother, Tatjana, stands on the left, next to Jonė's husband, Kadis. My Mom peeks from the driver's side door, and my cousin is in front of that door.

UPDATE: The cousin in the photo is Jonė's daughter. She'll reappear here sometimes, so I've decided to call her "Toronto Cousin."
