Here's one that didn't get away.

I loved to fish when I was a child. We spent my first summer vacations at large lakes in northern Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ontario. My Dad did not fish at any other time of year.

These trips occurred before "catch and release" became the game. We ate everything we brought home. My Mom, however, never liked to eat fish.

I would ask, "Mom, why don't you like fish?"

She answered, "It tastes like fish."

Lake Nipissing, Ontario, Canada, July 1965. I show off my Northern Pike.

UPDATE: I swear that I posted this nineteen hours before I saw the new Katy Perry video. Unrelated. This post is about fish.
