It's almost time for the Chicago Auto Show!

In February 1962, we visited the Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place.

There were concept cars. This is the Ford "Cougar 406:"


Glamorous models demonstrated the features of futuristic vehicles. Here's the Ford "Gyron:"


People stood in line to see the practical automobiles:

Going to see "The Nutcracker."


Chicago, Illinois, December 1966. Mom and I arrive at McCormick Place for a performance of "The Nutcracker." The original McCormick Place burned in an historic fire thirteen months later.
