From the amber coast to the amber waves of grain.
We'll play quietly in the archives (no footballs). Thinking of you, signed NOT A ROBOT.
It can be a rough time.Stay well and know we all love you.
Hope all is well for you! I look forward to your posts and truly enjoy them. I have a Thanksgiving tradition of hosting a family reunion...expecting 40 at the dinner table this year. I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving filled with traditions and health!
Thank you, my sweet friend.
Hope today is a good day for you. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best.--Ellie
Goodbye, sweet woman. Thank you for all you added to this world.
For those who didn't see it on Althouse, Irene lost her battle yesterday. In telling her family's story, she told the story of America and the American Dream. And, no, she will never truly go away. She was a delightful lady and a friend.
Even strained through the internet, Irene's brilliance, wit, curiosity, dedication to history, love of language (and of fashion!) were patent. I so wish that I had had the chance to meet this fascinating, incisive force. What an immeasurable and unfair loss to her family, friends, Madison colleagues and former students.
Thank you dear readers of Amber Reunion for your kind words about Irene. I lost my beloved wife, Irene, on December 21, after six weeks of home hospice and eight years after her diagnosis of ovarian cancer.I am committed to continuing her beautiful tribute to our families' histories. It was her passion and her legacy.Heaven just got much more interesting.I will see you soon dear readers.Ray Bandziulis, aka Mr. Irene. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Good for you, sir.The story of your families is the story of good people who always prevailed against adversity. It was also Irene's story.
An integral spice has disappeared from the world, and the days cannot taste the same.
