A Bad Purchase
Suburban Chicago, November 1963. Mom bought this coat a few weeks before our local Lithuanian enclave hosted one of its balls. She didn't get to wear the coat to the event. Organizers canceled the party after the JFK assassination.

Mom never liked the coat. She gave it away in the early 1980s.
