Recovery

Glacier National Park, Montana, July 1966. When we first visited Glacier in 1966, we learned that a fire thirty years earlier had damaged much of the park. We occasionally saw evidence of that fire during our hikes.

Nature's way of cleaning out the place.

A fire at Little Big Horn about 40 years ago unearthed much new evidence that forced historians to rethink what happened there.

Funny how things work out.
