Claws

Brookfield Zoo, December 1975. The zoo sign said this was a "Kodiak Bear." That's another name for an enormous, Alaskan subspecies of the Grizzly Bear.

I just found your blog tonight and am hooked. There are few things I enjoy more than old pictures. :) Looking at a variety of posts though and piecing together a little bit of your family's history makes me curious thought to have it all pieced together more. Is there a place on your blog where you've written out the story of your family? If not, would you ever consider writing it out? The little bits and pieces from the descriptions with the pictures are such a tease. :)

Thanks for sharing your family history!

Hi Mary in PA, Thanks for the kind words. I haven't pieced together more. The easiest way to tinker in the blog is to click on the "Labels;" those take you to dates and topics. My approach here is more free form. My Dad was a photo restorer and photographer, so each day, I just pick the images that interest me, and I associate whatever thoughts I connect to the photos.

If you fish around in the Labels, I suspect you'll find that much of the story already is here. At some point, I'll have to do a "favorite posts" post.
