Tracks, Again

Verona, Wisconsin, January 2013. It's easiest to see the deer tracks at dawn.

That's a magnificent view. And a heck of a lot of deer tracks. Do they nibble on your plants?

Thanks! The deer can do a lot of damage, but we've worked with someone to select deer resistant plants (if there is such a thing). No hostas or asiatic lilies. The monarda and daylilies don't get eaten.

You'll notice that each of our young trees has a protective collar around the trunk. We lost a few trees a couple of years ago (a maple and a redbud).
