Augsburg, Germany, 1947. Here's another snapshot from my Dad's trip to the Augsburg Displaced Persons camp, where he visited his toddler Goddaughter. Dad's friend Casey stands on the far right.
Hi Irene ~ I was born in Augsburg, Germany as was my mom and many other ancestors. I have been doing my family history now for about 5 years and attempting to get closer to my ancestors and their stories.
I love your blog and how your tell your mom and dad's life story. Mom and I were working on her side of the family when she suddenly passed away in 2010 . . . I have since had a difficult time. Augsburg is such a beautiful city! I was happy to run across someone who had a little bit of history there!
Hi Gini, Thanks for stopping by. I am delighted that you found the blog enjoyable. That makes my day. I don't have many photos from Augsburg because my Parents only visited--but did not live--there.
I also am sorry for your loss. I am very close to my Mom, so I can imagine how rough it was for you when your Mom passed away.
