Proceed with caution.

If you go hiking in the mountains, then be on the lookout for bears.

Glacier National Park, Montana, July 1972. We encounter a bear near Iceberg Lake. Safe.

I remember you mentioning bears in your vacation stories... So, when I packed up the family (about 10 yrs ago) and brought them hiking at Yellowstone we bought bear pepper spray, bear warning bells, bear alarm whistles – you name it, we wore it. And, not a bear in sight. I still smile when I come across the anti-bear wear around the house.

Bear bells. I loved my bear bell. I think I still may have it in my "life box."

You can see me wearing it in the second photo of this post.

"Anti-bear wear." I like that!
