She could stop traffic.

The young woman in the polka-dot dress is Kaunas Nina. I wonder if she was traveling. 

Or was she was meeting someone arriving to visit her?


Kaunas, Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic, about 1957 or 1958. Kaunas Nina stands outside the central Kaunas train station. She appears to be the only person in this photograph who is happy.
