After Mr. Irene's Parents married, they departed immediately for their honeymoon. The newlyweds traveled by train—on the Sante Fe line's "Chief"—from Chicago to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, they spent their honeymoon at the home of Ignas, Mr. Irene's Dad's brother, and his wife, Ellie.
