A Persuasive Poodle

My paternal Grandmother, Tatjana, said that she would move out if ever we acquired a dog.

Our first dog, Gigi, quickly changed Tatjana's perspective on house pets:

Suburban Chicago, 1969. Tatjana's expressive eyes tell us that she and Gigi will get along well.

We had a La-Z-Boy recliner that looked almost exactly like the dark chair in the background.

Ah, the power of the humble dog. Your grandmother was clearly under her spell.

The chairs weren't recliners, but they had Ottomans. Come on over, and I'll show them to you. They're downstairs.
