Do you enjoy stranded, or two-color knitting? If your answer is "yes," then here's a link you'll find useful.
Madison, Wisconsin, February 2003. This vest, an item I knitted for Mr. Irene, was the first fair-isle project I designed.

You have great color sense. I rather like stranded 2-color knitting, but Whistler has left me with PTSD, so it may be a while before I head that way again. Besides, after my last purchase of yarn I didn't need for yet-another-project, I've decided to not buy yarn until 2013. Except of course for bits that I need to finish projects made entirely of stash. We'll see how that goes.
You know I will. Perhaps I'll bring a bottle of champagne after New Year's and we can celebrate the end of 2011, otherwise known as the world's longest year.

This project, an initial attempt to organize colors, was a test for me. I worked it as a vest because I did not want to knit the sleeves.
No yarn purchases until 2013? Yarn diet. Come over and help winnow my stash.
Well yes - helping a friend de-stash does not count as buying yarn, does it? Thank goodness I'm always willing to help a friend. xxoo
Let me know when you need tidbits--Heilo or otherwise!

It's a plan!
