Patients Please

My paternal Grandmother once mentioned that she had worked as a nurse. We are not sure when she was a nurse or where she practiced nursing.

This photo tells us she was a nurse in Lithuania: the notes above each patient's bed are written in Lithuanian, not Russian or German.

The clothingespecially the coats—and the hairstyles suggest this photo dates from the latter 1920s.

Lithuania, about 1927. My paternal Grandmother, Tatjana—standing, in uniform, on the far left—poses in a hospital room with patients and their family members.
