If you're going out to play in the snow, then don't forget your pocketbook.

In our household, we called a pocketbook a "ridikūlis."

Ridiculous!

I'll bet that was a red ridikūlis. This one certainly was red:


Suburban Chicago, January 1962. I stand on the area of grass separating our house from that of the neighbors. The little spruce behind me is the tree that my Parents planted to commemorate my birth.
